The beauty of a sunrise.
The life in each breath.
The joy in every moment.
As He leads us into rest.
With a soft and gentle voice
He whispers “Come, my child,
Relax here in my presence
Let your strivings cease awhile.
You can not do it all
Just come sit by my side.
Let me show you dear one
That My goodness, it is nigh.
Don’t keep looking all around you
Keep your gaze up above.
For I know what you are needing
I’ve gifts ready, wrapped with love.
Let me lead in the good times
In the bad times, please do
Cling to the bible
My words will get you through.
So trust and keep believing
And in all that you do
Remember my child
These words: I love YOU.”
I don’t know where this came from. These words above. I am not a poet. Never have been. I was actually terrible in English. The only answer is that God must have given them to me. He must have known that at the very moment I was writing them, I needed them.
I’ve been thinking lately about all the things that I try to do for God. I don’t think they are all bad, but sometimes I wonder if He wants me to just be satisfied and know that I am enough – JUST. THE. WAY. I. AM.
I find myself comparing, a lot! I look at others and praise them up and think to myself I’m not near that good. Then sometimes I even just stop doing certain things altogether, because I make myself believe that it’s not good enough, I’m not good enough. That must really hurt God. He gifted me. He gave me talents, and although I may not be as advanced as others, it’s still from Him. It’s what He gave me. Maybe in my “not good enough” state, I’m actually able to reach someone who may be feeling less than enough.
I really needed to be reassured today of the fact that I AM ENOUGH, and you know what? YOU ARE ENOUGH. Maybe you need to hear that too. We don’t have to be anything other than what He created us to be. We need to rest in this truth….that WE ARE ENOUGH!!
YOU are fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.
So friends, I hope you will remember that you are enough. You don’t need to be any more or any less. I will try to remember too.
